Shel Silverstein

Shel Silverstein was born on 25 Sep 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. Her birth name was Sheldon Silverstein. Her is also called Sheldon Silverstein.Shel Silverstein died on 10 Mar 1999.

He was an American poet, singer-songwriter, musician, composer, cartoonist, screenwriter, and author of children's books. He sometimes styled himself as Uncle Shelby, especially for his early children's books.
Silverstein confirmed that he never studied the poetry of others and therefore developed his own quirky style: laid-back and conversational, occasionally employing profanity and slang.

Shel Silverstein released the following albums including Great Conch Train Robbery (1992), Great Conch Train Robbery (1993), Freakin' at the Freakers Ball (1999), Where the Sidewalk Ends (2000), I'm So Good I Don't Have to Brag (2001), The Best of Shel Silverstein (2005), Boy Named Sue and His Other Country Songs (2008), Inside Folk Songs (2008) and Light in the Attic (2009).
