War
War, is an American funk band from California,formed in 1969, War was a musical crossover band which fused elements of rock, funk, jazz, Latin music, R&B, and reggae. The band also transcended racial and cultural barriers with a multi-ethnic line-up. The music has been sampled and recorded by many singers and groups, ranging from R&B/pop singers such as Janet Jackson to nu metal band Korn and hip-hop groups like TLC.
War released the following albums including The Best of War and More (1991), The World Is a Ghetto (1992), Deliver the Word (1992), All Day Music (1992), War (1992), Why Can't We Be Friends? (1992), War Live (1992), Platinum Jazz (1993), Anthology (1970-1994) (1994), The Very Best of War (2003) and This Is War (2009).
