Yanni

Yanni was born on 14 Dec 1954 in Kalamata, Greece. His birth name was Yiannis Hrysomallis. His is also called Yanni.

He is a self-taught pianist, keyboardist, and composer. After receiving a B.A. in psychology, he would instead seek a life in music though he had no formal training and could not read a note.

Yanni released the following albums including Reflections of Passion (1990), Keys to Imagination (1990), Out of Silence (1990), Chameleon Days (1990), In My Time (1993), Live at the Acropolis (1994), In the Mirror (1997), Tribute (1997), Winter Light (1999), Snowfall (2000), If I Could Tell You (2000), Ultimate Yanni (2003), Ethnicity (2003), Live at the Acropolis (CD & DVD) (2005), The Collection (2006), Live: The Concert Event (2006), Dare to Dream (2008) and In Celebration of Life (2008).
