Klaus Nomi was born on 24 Jan 1944 in Immenstadt, Germany. His birth name was Klaus Sperber. His is also called Klaus Nomi.Klaus Nomi died on 06 Aug 1983.

Klaus Sperber was a German countertenor noted for his wide vocal range and an unusual, otherworldly stage persona.Nomi was known for his bizarrely theatrical live performances, heavy make-up, unusual costumes, and a highly stylized signature hairdo which flaunted a receding hairline. Nomi was one of the first celebrities to contract AIDS. He died in 1983 at the age of 39 as a result of complications from the disease.

Klaus Nomi released the following albums including Simple Man (1990), Klaus Nomi (1990), Encore! (1990), The Collection (1991), Klaus Nomi - The Essential (1995), Eclipsed: The Best of Klaus Nomi (1999) and Za Bakdaz: Unfinished Opera (2008).
