Seven Long Years (1979)

[From the album Private Parts & Pieces] Seven long years have gone by Scattered in the wind Fortunes made and squandered Odd has become growing day Seven long years have now pa*sed Neither glimpse nor word All the dew that vanished Though the case lay undisturbed Seven long years have I spent Trying to forget But no man can vanish Heaven he has sought and met Though the trails and the tears Still I cannot learn Ever hopeless dreaming Perhaps someday you will return
