you asked me a question i think i was somewhere else you said "you're not listening" you said i never do but i try, i try so hard but it's so hard in this big world it's so big and so shiny and all around us like a big cartoon you asked me to help you build a bridge so we could meet in between but im building my own bridge to somewhere so far from here im building my own bridge ill call you when i get there you said you were leaving i heard you sweet and clear you said "it's not easy with you, you're never here" im lost and i dont know why you seem so far away i see you working so hard working so hard each day building your own bridge to somewhere so far away your building your own bridge dont worry i wont stand in your way im building my own bridge my own bridge i can call my own im bulding my own bridge i'll call you when i get home
