Santa Knows

Heard a scream and right before my eyes There was daddy swingin' by Using those christmas lights like a jungle vine. Can't repeat what I heard him say 'cause it's gettin' real close to christmas day I'd take the chance but I'd know santa knows. Santa knows everything I do. He knows everything I say. So I ain't gonna do nuthin wrong... 'cause santa knows. Shakin' the gifts underneath the tree Everything sounded so good to me 'til I raised up and that tree come a-tumblin' down. Mama come a-runnin--had that look in her eyes Woulda blamed it on the dog but I couldn't lie I'd take the chance but I'd know santa knows. Santa knows everything I do. He knows everything I say. So I ain't gonna do nuthin wrong... 'cause santa knows. Granny's sugar cookies were sittin' on the shelf Mama said "don't go helpin' yourself" But I couldn't see the harm in takin' just one. No one was lookin' the moment was right I knew they'd be good 'n I could steal a bite I'd take the chance but I'd know santa knows. Santa knows everything I do. He knows everything I say. So I ain't gonna do nuthin wrong... 'cause santa knows. Ain't gonna do nuthin' wrong. Can't take a chance. Ain't gonna do nuthin' wrong 'cause santa knows. 'cause santa knows.
